Adult autism
Adult Autism Evaluations in Ridgeland, MS
A thorough diagnostic evaluation, a clear explanation of your results, and ongoing support for the concerns that come with them.
Who this may be appropriate for
Many adults reach midlife without ever being assessed. People often seek an evaluation after recognizing long-standing differences in social communication, sensory experience, routine, or burnout at work. Reading about autism is not the same as having it — an evaluation exists to answer the question rather than assume the answer.
What the evaluation involves
- A thorough diagnostic evaluation.
- A clear explanation of your results, in plain language.
- Ongoing support for related concerns including anxiety, depression, attention, sleep, and burnout.
- Accommodation documentation when it is clinically supported.
Care after the evaluation
An evaluation is useful mainly for what comes next. Follow-up care may include psychiatric medication management for co-occurring conditions, or an ADHD evaluation when attention concerns are part of the picture. You can also read our article on adult autism.
Your provider and where we see you
Care is led by Stephen P. Sweeney, PMHNP-BC, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, alongside the wider Turned Leaf Psychiatry team and our collaborating physicians in Mississippi and Tennessee. Visits are in person at our Ridgeland office.
Costs and insurance
Self-pay rates for psychiatric visits are $185 for the initial evaluation and $135 for a follow-up medication-management visit. Diagnostic testing components may be billed separately depending on your plan — call (601) 494-5503 for service-specific pricing.
We are in-network with BCBS, Aetna, UHC, UMR, Surest, OSCAR, Cigna, Medicaid of Mississippi, Medicare, Ambetter, Compsych, and Magnolia of Mississippi. For out-of-network plans we provide a Superbill after each visit. See pricing and insurance details or call (601) 494-5503 to verify your benefits.
