ADHD Testing and Evaluation in Ridgeland, MS

Standardized testing, clinical interpretation, and a treatment plan — often within a single appointment at our Ridgeland office.

Who this may be appropriate for

Adults and families who have noticed long-standing difficulty with focus, organization, follow-through, restlessness, or impulsivity may benefit from a formal evaluation. People often seek an assessment when attention concerns start affecting work, school, or relationships, or when a previous evaluation was never completed.

Attention symptoms can also come from sleep problems, anxiety, depression, or other medical conditions. A visit does not assume any diagnosis — the point of the evaluation is to sort out what is actually driving the symptoms.

What the evaluation involves

  • A clinical interview covering current symptoms, history, and daily functioning.
  • Standardized screening questionnaires and rating scales.
  • Conners CPT testing, a computerized attention measure used to support diagnostic accuracy.
  • Review of results with you and a written plan for next steps.

When a stimulant or non-stimulant medication is clinically indicated, a prescription can be sent to your local pharmacy the same day.

How ADHD care connects to medication management

An evaluation is the starting point. If medication becomes part of your plan, care continues through scheduled follow-up visits where we review response, side effects, sleep, appetite, and functioning and adjust the plan as needed. Read more about our psychiatric medication management process.

Your provider and where we see you

Costs and insurance

An ADHD evaluation is billed as a psychiatric evaluation. Self-pay rates are $185 for the initial psychiatric evaluation and $135 for a follow-up medication-management visit. Testing components may be billed separately depending on your plan — call for service-specific pricing.

We are in-network with BCBS, Aetna, UHC, UMR, Surest, OSCAR, Cigna, Medicaid of Mississippi, Medicare, Ambetter, Compsych, and Magnolia of Mississippi. For out-of-network plans we provide a Superbill after each visit. See pricing and insurance details or call (601) 494-5503 to verify your benefits.

Frequently asked questions

Can testing and treatment happen in the same visit?
In many cases yes. Screening questionnaires, Conners CPT testing, and clinical interpretation can often be completed in the same appointment, and a prescription can be sent to your pharmacy that day when it is clinically indicated.
What is Conners CPT testing?
It is a standardized computerized attention task used alongside your clinical history and rating scales. It is one part of the evaluation, not a stand-alone diagnosis.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required to request an appointment. Some insurance plans have their own referral rules, so call (601) 494-5503 if you are unsure about your plan.
What should I bring to the evaluation?
Bring your insurance card, a list of current medications, and any prior evaluations, report cards, or work notes that describe attention difficulties over time.
Is medication the only treatment option?
No. Your plan is individualized and may include medication management, monitoring, and referral for therapy or other supports based on your evaluation.
