Who this may be appropriate for
Adults who are concerned about substance use, who are considering Medication-Assisted Treatment, or who want to continue treatment they began elsewhere may be appropriate for this service. Many patients are also managing depression, anxiety, sleep problems, or attention difficulties at the same time. Whether MAT is right for you is determined during a clinical evaluation.
What care involves
- A confidential clinical evaluation of substance use and mental health.
- Medication-Assisted Treatment when it is clinically appropriate.
- Scheduled follow-up visits to review how treatment is going.
- Concurrent psychiatric care for co-occurring conditions.
We do not promise a specific outcome. Recovery is individual, and the plan is revisited with you at each visit. Care is provided by Stephen P. Sweeney, PMHNP-BC, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and the Turned Leaf Psychiatry team.

Care is led by Stephen P. Sweeney, PMHNP-BC, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, alongside the wider Turned Leaf Psychiatry team and our collaborating physicians in Mississippi and Tennessee. Visits are in person at our Ridgeland office.
Costs and insurance
Addiction medicine visits are billed as psychiatric visits: $185 for a self-pay initial psychiatric evaluation and $135 for a self-pay follow-up medication-management visit. Any laboratory testing is billed separately — call (601) 494-5503 for service-specific pricing.
We are in-network with BCBS, Aetna, UHC, UMR, Surest, OSCAR, Cigna, Medicaid of Mississippi, Medicare, Ambetter, Compsych, and Magnolia of Mississippi. For out-of-network plans we provide a Superbill after each visit. See pricing and insurance details or call (601) 494-5503 to verify your benefits.

- Yes. Substance use care is handled confidentially, consistent with applicable privacy law and our privacy policy.
- Can psychiatric conditions be treated at the same time?
- Yes. Substance use often occurs alongside depression, anxiety, ADHD, or other psychiatric conditions, and both can be addressed within your care plan.
- Do you provide court or probation documentation?
- We offer legal evaluations using instruments such as the SASSI-4, which is a separate service from addiction treatment. Ask the office which service fits your situation.
